History of Chagrin Falls Little Theatre
The Chagrin Falls Little Theatre was founded in 1930 and come a long way. Alfred Hill, the owner of a short-lived newspaper in the Valley, ran an article in his paper suggesting that residents meet to form a local group of players. The idea was a hit and in November 1930, the Valley Players celebrated their first season with a series of three one-act plays. It was so successful that over 50 more people joined the Players and kicked off a second season.
Fast-forward to today and audiences at the Chagrin Falls Little Theatre can enjoy first-class entertainment with modern lighting, surround sound and high-quality scenic designs all while sitting in a comfortable, temperature-controlled venue. Before and after the performances guests can enjoy mingling with refreshments, including beer and wine, and intermissions in the River Room upstairs. The main stage can accommodate 262 audience members.

“The Chagrin Valley Little Theatre is a volunteer, not-for-profit organization which exists to enrich the cultural life of the Chagrin Valley and Northeast Ohio. Through the production of live theatre and related programming, the Chagrin Valley Little Theatre shall promote interest in and excellence in live performances for the enjoyment of audiences, advance the skills of individuals within the performing arts; and provide educational and outreach programs to the community.”
