- Historic Kirtland
This small settlement features some of the earliest structures built by members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints who came to live in the area in the 1830s. They include Isaac Morley Farm, The Kirtland Ashery, Kirtland Sawmill, Kirtland Schoolhouse, Newel K. Whitney general store, and Kirtland Temple Stone Quarry. - Holden Arboretum
This 3,600-acre arboretum is one of the largest in the United States and has been named an Important Bird Area by the Audubon Society. It features more than 20 miles of walking trails and beautiful, cultivated gardens. - Little Mountain
The summit of Little Mountain is the highest point above sea level in Ohio, and features a 50-acre plateau. The mountain features caverns, rock formations, springs, and other features. The plateau was the site of a popular resort in the late 1800s, but the area may now be visited only through tours organized by the Holden Arboretum, which owns much of the land it encompasses.
